About Sobering Truths
The Sobering Truths podcast is a project of the Arkansas Family Coalition. Our goal is to educate the public about the many dangers of alcohol consumption. The general public is not fully aware of the problems that alcohol can create for a community, state, and nation. For example, many are not aware that alcohol is associated with seven types of cancer, according to the CDC. (See here: Alcohol and Cancer | Cancer | CDC). Add that to alcohol-related car crashes, domestic violence, and other negative consequences, and nearly every person in the United States is affected or knows someone who has been affected by alcohol. In short, we plan to lower the opinion of alcohol in the court of public opinion.
